Capability 05 · Digital Engineering & Surveying

Reliable spatial data for design, construction and asset decisions.

We coordinate geodesy, laser scanning, point-cloud processing, Scan-to-BIM, digital models and construction surveying around clearly defined accuracy and output requirements.

Scope of work

From field measurement to controlled digital output.

The capture method and deliverable format are selected only after clarifying the asset, access conditions, coordinate requirements, tolerances and intended downstream use.

01

Geodesy & site surveying

Coordinate project-specific topographic, engineering and control surveying tasks around the defined design or construction need.

TYPICAL OUTPUTSurvey plan · control data · measured points · drawings · technical report
02

Laser scanning & point clouds

Plan capture coverage, registration, quality checks and handover for existing buildings, infrastructure and industrial assets.

TYPICAL OUTPUTCapture plan · registered point cloud · control report · agreed exchange files
03

Scan-to-BIM & digital models

Convert verified source data into models or drawings at the agreed level of information, geometry and tolerance.

TYPICAL OUTPUTModel brief · BIM model · drawings · deviation or issue register
04

Construction surveying & verification

Coordinate setting-out, measurement and comparison tasks with the responsible construction and design participants.

TYPICAL OUTPUTControl records · comparison data · as-built inputs · issue documentation

Representative scenarios

Begin with the decision the data must support.

Representative scenarios describe possible starting points; final methods and tolerances depend on site review and the agreed technical brief.

01

Existing-condition survey

Create controlled spatial inputs before design or reconstruction begins.

02

Infrastructure laser scan

Capture complex geometry and hand over registered, reviewable point-cloud data.

03

Scan-to-BIM package

Develop an agreed digital model from verified survey or scanning information.

04

Design base preparation

Convert survey data into structured drawings and model-ready reference information.

05

Construction verification

Compare selected installed or built elements against agreed reference geometry.

06

As-built documentation

Organise verified measured data for final drawings, models or asset records.

Delivery path

Make the output useful by defining its purpose before capture.

01

Purpose

Confirm what decision, design stage or construction task the data must support.

02

Specify

Agree coverage, control, coordinate system, tolerance, format and acceptance criteria.

03

Capture

Coordinate field activity, access, control measurements and source-data handling.

04

Process

Register, structure, review and convert data into the agreed deliverables.

05

Validate

Check the output against the brief before release to downstream users.

Data reliability

A point cloud or model is only useful when its limitations are explicit.

Coordinate systems, tolerances, coverage, occlusions, level of information and acceptance criteria are documented for each engagement. Validation statements are made only against approved evidence and the agreed technical brief.

Digital Engineering & Surveying

Define the required digital output.

Send the asset location, intended use, available source data, required accuracy and desired file formats. We will structure the surveying or digital-engineering brief.
